IGI Poseidon S.A.
IGI Poseidon S.A. (Submarine Natural Gas Pipeline Greece - Italy IGI POSEIDON SA) was established in 2008. DEPA INTERNATIONAL and the Italian company EDISON S.p.A hold an equal share in IGI POSEIDON.
This company is responsible for the design, construction and operation of the Natural Gas Pipeline Greece - Italy (IGI Poseidon) and the Eastern Mediterranean Pipeline (East Med).
The company also has a 50% share in the ICGB Company which promotes the Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria Pipeline (IGB) - see relevant section.

ICGB AD
The ICGB AD Company was established in 2011, with the Greek IGI POSEIDON Company and the BULGARIAN ENERGY HOLDING EAD (BEH EAD) each holding a 50% share . DEPA INTERNATIONAL and EDISON SpA each hold a 50% stake in IGI POSEIDON.
The company is responsible for the development and construction of the new interconnector between Greece and Bulgaria (IGB),that will provide countries in Southeast Europe with access to new sources of natural gas supply. The pipeline will start in Komotini and end in Stara Zagora in Bulgaria.
The Final Investment Decision was taken on December 10, 2015.The EPC contract was awarded in October 2019 while works started in the first part of 2020 and are scheduled to be completed by July 2021.
